We've all been there, either as guests at someone else's home, or hosting some friends, when the inevitable request comes in: "Hey man, what's the wifi password?".
Clearly you have it saved somewhere, right? A piece of paper, that steel trap noggin of yours? Eh, what's the difference? At the end of the day it's still an awkward question to ask, and there's a 50% chance you're going to put the host through a gambit just to get you the password (hint: grandparents' house is pretty much a black hole pal).
Good News!
Since macOS 10.13 High Sierra and iOS 11, Apple took the guesswork out of getting everyone connected. If your guests are using either of those Operating Systems, have them select your network. and then put their device in close proximity to one of your devices already connected to the network. The dialogue box will pop up on your device asking if you'd like to share the password for your wifi network with the device next to it, and voila! Everyone's connected.
A few things to note here:
With the 2018 Holiday season in full swing, there's no better time to put this process into action! From all of us here at BFA Technologies, Inc., we wish you a happy "networking"!
