Apple and select carrier partners will buy back your old iPhone 4S if it is in good condition, however, they don't pay cash. Users will recieve a gift card good towards a new phone (or any Apple product). We think this makes a lot of sense as Apple will continue to sell the 4S, and doesn't want to have to manufacture all of them. Goodness knows, plenty of phones sit unused in drawers after people upgrade.
